A new friend, upon learning I used to be a chiroquacker, told me that they had had upper back pain, when to a chiroquacker daily for weeks, then a few times a week for two years. They said the back felt better after treatment but the pain always came back by the next day. They stated the chiro gave them a discount for "pre-paying" the first year of copays but they were never again charged a copay/coninsurance. The problem is two-fold: 1) chiro treatment is an ineffective scam; and 2) discounting coinsurance/copay and NOOPE (second year) are illegal, ripping off the insurance company (Blue Cross), you and me who have to pay for this nonsense. But, if one is a DC or is thinking about becoming one, this will be your life of useless quackery and (rampant) illegal business practices. RIP chiropractic.
